Simplifythis.com is an online invoicing and appointment booking service for small businesses and professionals. The site offers easy to use applications for sending invoices via email and booking appointments via phone or on the web. Invoicing and appointment booking are provided as separate services, although they are integrated into one application interface. Setup for invoicing is easy – The user simply selects the Invoices tab, adds the client as a Contact, adds one or more Items and Services to the application, then uses the Unbilled Charges dialog to add an invoice for the client. The Contacts view shows a list of clients along with a summary of their account balance and status. There is also a Projects and Tasks dialog where the user can define a Project which consists of a number of tasks for a given client.
The appointment booking portion of the application is accessed via the Appointments tab. This brings up dialogs for Today, Staff, Contacts and Items and Services. The user first adds one or more staff who are available for appointments. The user then adds one or more Items and Services, specifying the staff member, the amount charged and the amount of time required. To enter a phone-in appointment, the user chooses the calendar under the Today tab, picks the date and time, and adds an appointment for the given Contact. If the appointment is for a new customer, the user first adds them as a contact. For web booking, the client visits the user's Simplifythis web appointment application at username.simplifyaccounts.com/Booking. Navigation is intuitive as is the user interface for the applications. Page loads happen quickly and the online applications respond almost as quickly as a dedicated desktop application.
